Think Tank on Enhancing Obesity Research at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute: Executive Summary

Overweight and obesity affect all segments of the population at alarming rates. This document summarizes the findings of a 2-day think tank conducted by NHLBI in March 2003. This session brought together leading experts on the issue from the academic, consumer and professional communities. This Executive Summary highlights key conclusions of the Think Tank on the magnitude of the problem, and the relationship of obesity to heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders.
