Are you an adult in good health? Are you an adult in good health? If so, you may be able to participate in this clinical trial where researchers are testing a new medication to learn if it might help people with a type of lung injury called pulmonary arterial hypertension. Participants will have a physical exam with blood tests, as well as a urine test. They will also have a test of their heart function. Participants will come to the clinic for one visit of up to 48 hours during which they will receive the study medication through a tube attached to a needle inserted into a vein in the arm. You must be between 18 and 60 to participate. The study is taking place at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you an adult with pulmonary arterial hypertension? Are you an adult with pulmonary arterial hypertension? Researchers are comparing aerobic exercise to leg training with weights to learn if it can improve the quality of life for people with pulmonary arterial hypertension. You must be 18 years old to participate and must not have been hospitalized for heart failure in the past 30 days. The study is taking place in Rochester, Minnesota.

Do you have pulmonary hypertension? Do you have pulmonary hypertension? This study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of the drug valsartan in strengthening right heart function in people with pulmonary hypertension. Participants will take a 24-week course of valsartan. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 80 years old and have a diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension by cardiac catheterization. This study is located in Seattle, Washington.

Is your child between 3 months and 18 years old and diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension? Is your child between 3 months and 18 years old and diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension? Researchers are trying to learn if combining two medications for pulmonary hypertension works better than just one. To be in the study, your child must not be receiving long-term treatments for pulmonary hypertension. The study is taking place at locations in California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Edmonton, Canada.

Has your doctor recommended right heart cardiac catheterization for you? This study is investigating new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques that use a guidewire to help position a heart catheter within the heart. MRI fluoroscopy shows pictures of the heart so that doctors can watch while they work. Using the guidewire during MRI may improve the procedure of heart catheterization. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old, and your doctor must have recommended right heart catheterization for you. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Are you an adult interested in a new treatment for pulmonary hypertension? This study is exploring whether a medicine called spironolactone can improve heart and lung function during exercise in people who have pulmonary hypertension. To participate in this study, you must be 18 to 99 years old and have a type of pulmonary hypertension known as pulmonary arterial hypertension. This study is located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Do you or your child have pulmonary hypertension and want to help research? This study is looking to better understand pulmonary hypertension in children who have this condition. To participate in this study, you or your child must be 21 years old or younger and must have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension before the age of 18. This study is located at multiple sites across the United States and Canada, including California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Alberta, Canada.

Do you or a family member have pulmonary hypertension? This study is looking at how hormones contribute to pulmonary arterial hypertension and whether treatments for hormone imbalances or insulin resistance also improve pulmonary hypertension. To participate in this study, you must be 90 years old or younger and have pulmonary arterial hypertension or be a family member of someone who has this condition. This study is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
