Are you a healthy adult who wants to join a study about less sitting? You might qualify for this research. Researchers are testing if walking breaks can improve cardiovascular health, like blood pressure and glucose (sugar) levels. To join, you must be 18 years old and have no long-term health issues or not be taking medications for blood pressure or diabetes. Participants will have to go to the study site for a 9-hour visit and walk on a treadmill during the day. The study is taking place in New York City, New York.

Do you have high blood pressure? In this clinical trial, researchers are studying different ways to improve home blood pressure monitoring. You may be able to participate if you are between 18 and 85 years old and diagnosed with high blood pressure. Participants will work closely with clinicians or other healthcare providers to schedule appointments, coordinate care, measure blood pressure, answer your questions, and treat your high blood pressure. The study is taking place in Rochester, New York.

The overall goal of this study is to use state-of-the-art monitors to objectively measure the 24-hour behavioral cycle in each trimester of pregnancy, and to examine associations of these behaviors with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and other adverse pregnancy outcomes linked with future cardiovascular disease risk.

Are you a pregnant woman who has high blood pressure caused by pregnancy, such as gestational hypertension or preeclampsia? Are you a pregnant woman who has high blood pressure caused by pregnancy, such as gestational hypertension or preeclampsia? Preeclampsia, a condition where a person has high blood pressure in pregnancy, is a major cause of concern. High blood pressure during pregnancy is also a common reason for preterm delivery. Researchers are testing whether lowering the blood pressure of women with preeclampsia at less than 36 weeks’ pregnant will prolong pregnancy. You must be 14 to 49 to participate and at least 23 weeks pregnant. The study is taking place in Birmingham, Alabama.

Researchers are studying whether indoor air cleaners can help lower your blood pressure and how long you are exposed to air pollution. Do you have a Type B aortic dissection? Do you have a Type B aortic dissection? This study will compare a surgical procedure (TEVAR) followed by medical therapy to a more traditional approach using medical therapy with surveillance to determine if TEVAR can reduce complications. The TEVAR procedure is minimally-invasive. You may be able to participate if you are 18 years old or older. This study is recruiting in multiple locations.

Are you a middle-aged person with high blood pressure? Are you a middle-aged person with high blood pressure? This study is identifying salt-sensing regions in the brain. The goal is to understand how the brain responds to a small rapid increase of salt in the blood using an MRI. To participate in the study, you must be between 40 and 60 years old and without a history of heart, kidney, metabolic, or neurological disease. This study is located in Newark, Delaware.
