This study evaluates a sensor-controlled digital game (SCDG) to motivate self-management behaviors of weight monitoring and physical activity in adults with heart failure (HF). Half of the participants will receive the SCDG app and weight monitoring and physical activity sensors and the other half will receive only the weight monitoring and physical activity sensors.

The overall objective of research is to test, adapt, refine and validate the HEMOTAG® system to be used outside the usual medical care environments to reduce hospital readmissions.

Are you an adult planning to get a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implant to treat heart failure? If so, you may be able to take part in a clinical trial about heart failure. Researchers are testing whether a dietary supplement can improve heart function for people with advanced heart failure. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and be scheduled for elective LVAD implantation. The study is taking place in Seattle, Washington.

Do you have heart failure that is well controlled through medication and attending regular appointments with your healthcare provider? This clinical trial is testing a dietary supplement taken by mouth twice a day for five days to see if it can help patients with heart failure. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Are you an adult with heart failure? Unplanned weight loss is quite common among people with heart failure. Researchers in this clinical trial are studying whether adding a protein supplement to daily meals can help prevent muscle and weight loss for people with heart failure. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and have heart failure. The study is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts.

Do you have heart failure? This study aims to understand how exercise improves symptoms for heart failure. To participate in the study, you must be 18 to 89 years old and should not have undergone cardiac rehabilitation in the past year. This study is located in Stanford, California.

Do you have chronic kidney disease and mild heart failure? Researchers are testing a medication to see if it helps heart and lung function when it is added to your current medication. To take part in this clinical trial, you must be 18 to 85 years old, have chronic kidney disease and are taking diuretics or other medication, and have mild heart failure. The study is taking place in Chicago, Illinois.

Has your child received a Fontan palliation operation? If so, they may be able to join a clinical trial that is testing whether exercise can help patients who have had this procedure. Your child must be between 8 and 19 years old, had a Fontan palliation, and can exercise. A study team member will observe the participants doing aerobic and resistance exercises live on video. The study is taking place in Palo Alto, California.

Do you have pulmonary hypertension? Do you have pulmonary hypertension? This study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of the drug valsartan in strengthening right heart function in people with pulmonary hypertension. Participants will take a 24-week course of valsartan. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 80 years old and have a diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension by cardiac catheterization. This study is located in Seattle, Washington.

This study is trying to improve the hospital-to-home transition for people with heart failure who receive home care services. The study will test an intervention called I-TRANSFER-HF, which differs from usual care by combining early home health nurse visits and outpatient medical appointments.
